Yamaha Tracer 900 GT has officially paved in Malaysia with two color choices, red and blue. These two color choices make the Tracer 900 GT look different from the 2019 version.

Because the gray color combination that covered the 2019 Tracer 900 GT has been replaced with red, the blue color now appears darker than the previous version.

The Yamaha Tracer 900 GT engine and some of the accessories it has, such as the two boxes on the back, remain the same as the old ones.

In addition, on the front of the Yamaha Tracer 900 GT just above the headlamp which has a fierce design, there is a medium-sized windshield and handguard.

On the indicator panel is a full digital LCD that shows the speedometer, tachometer, clock, gear position, fuel amount, D-MODE, and Traction Control System (TCS) indicators so that the Yamaha Tracer 900 GT 2023 will look more tempting.

Power Boost

Compared to the previous generation, the 847 cc engine is only capable of producing 113 hp at 10,000 rpm and 87.5 Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm. That means the Tracer 9 has a 7 percent increase in torque that comes at 1,500 rpm lower. It also weighs 1.7 kg lighter than the old version. The power generated by the Yamaha Tracer 900 GT 2023 flows through a six-speed gearbox equipped with assist and slipper clutch. Deltabox Chassis Revision

Another major revision of the Yamaha Tracer 900 GT 2023 is the Deltabox die-cast chassis, different from the previous one which adopted the diamond model. Designed so that the engine is upright to provide front-rear balance as well as improve feedback from the front end when the engine is driven. The engine mount is also custom made, thicker than the old MT-09. Since the engine is a structural part of the chassis, it means the bending characteristics of the frame will change as a result.

Yamaha says the changes improve stability and ensure the Tracer continues to perform well when loading passengers and luggage. This critical component is combined with a redesigned aluminum swingarm, 60 mm longer than the old MT-09. But without changing the wheelbase which remains 1,500 mm.

Talking about the trunk of the Yamaha Tracer 900 GT 2023 having three cases is an option on the Tracer 9 and becomes standard for the more valiant GT types. This feature can operate from 48 kph and above and is available when in fourth gear or higher. The speed can be adjusted incrementally from 2 kph using the toggle bar on the left. On the dashboard, the Yamaha Tracer 900 GT 2023 gets an unusual new instrument package. Not one, but two parts. Each has adopted a full color TFT-LCD display. And another one uses a rear disc measuring 245 mm with one piston calipers, with ABS system. The sensor braking system is given two setting modes. Mode one prevents wheel locking during hard braking at high speeds, while mode two results in gentle braking during cornering. Everything can be arranged electronically. The Tracer 9 uses 17-inch lightweight 10-spoke alloy wheels, wrapped in 120/70 tires at the front and 180/55 at the rear. Both use Bridgestone Battleax T32 Sport Touring tires.

The upside down suspension of the fully adjustable 41mm diameter KYB embedded in the Yamaha Tracer 900 GT 2023. That’s 30mm shorter than before. While the rear uses a monoshock from the same brand and can be adjusted. For the Tracer 9 GT, the mechanical fitout is similar to the Tracer 9, except for the use of the KYB electronic suspension which comes with two modes, an up-and-down quick shifter. In addition, other differentiators are LED cornering lights, heated grips, and special side boxes.
