2023 Yamaha V-Max New Desain, Feature, and Specs

2023 Yamaha V-Max Desain, Feature, and Specs

2023 Yamaha V-Max. The Yamaha V-Max was designed by Atsushi Ichijo in a team led by Akira Araki with input from Ed Burke and John Reed. Upon its release in 1985, the V-Max garnered instant critical acclaim and earned the Cycle Guide “Bike of the Year” title. Sold both in Japan and abroad, the V-Max was sold with only minor modifications from the 1985 model year to the 2007 model year. The V-Max was noted for its fast acceleration, but was also criticized for its poor cornering ability and soft suspension. In 1997, the bike cost £9,359 or $15,322 (equivalent to $24,701 in 2020) to buy.

Until 2008, the original Yamaha V-Max was offered for sale through the Star Motorcycles division of Yamaha Motorcycles. Apart from a slight refresh to the bike’s specifications in 1993, when the bike gained larger diameter forks to minimize high-speed wobble and drift, four-piston brake calipers, and other handling and safety-related improvements, the 2007 V-Max was pretty much the same as the original 1985 version.

Although there is no information on the new Yamaha V-Max 2023 that will be paving again, big motorbike lovers really hope for this. let’s look at the specifications of the Yamaha V-MAX :

The uniqueness of Yamaha V-MAX

The VMAX is one of the most iconic motorcycle designs Yamaha has ever made and is coming back in 2020 for more antics for those brave enough to ride it. But Yamaha has chosen to include it in the Sport Heritage category, satirizing the mighty VMAX getting older.

Crossover Superbike

Some of the superbike crossover components include a slipper clutch, wave-style brake discs, ABS, and adjustable front and rear suspension.

Aluminum Chassis

An aluminum chassis assembled from controlled-fill die-cast components and extruded aluminum holds the engine low and forward for optimized mass centralization. This is a cruiser that handles well in the canyons and flies straight on the dragstrip.Yamaha

It’s been 12 years since the VMAX underwent a major reboot that included increased displacement from 1,198cc to 1,679cc, a completely redesigned chassis that complemented new power production, and a new look that managed to keep the original design with a modern twist. For 2020, it will hit the road with no major updates to speak of, other than a completely dark treatment that Yamaha calls the Raven Black. The price remains the same $17,999 as when it was updated a decade ago, so that’s good news if you’re still hesitating to buy one for yourself someday.

Overall, the V-Max measures 2,300 mm (91 in) long, 795 mm (31.3 in) wide and 1,160 mm (46 in) tall. The engine is a tuned version of the dual overhead camshaft, four valve per cylinder, liquid-cooled V-4 from Yamaha Venture. Along with other engine modifications, the compression ratio was increased to 10.5:1, and a V-Boost system was added.

V-Boost Yamaha V-Max

V-Boost is a system that opens butterfly valves in the intake manifold between cylinders 1 and 2 and between cylinders 3 and 4 starting at 5,750 rpm. The valve is opened gradually to match the increasing engine speed to the signal given by the ignition system. The valve is in the fully open position at 8,000 rpm. A small black box sends a calculated signal to the servo motor which pulls the wires to open the butterfly valve. The V-Boost system adds 10 percent to the top power rating of the base engine. On 20 September 2009, VMAX was also launched in India

YCC-I/YCC-T

Instead of the V-Boost on the original carbureted V-Max, the fuel-injected VMAX uses the YCC-I and YCC-T. The Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake (YCC-I) is a new addition to the VMAX. The airhorn in the airbox is lifted by a servo that is activated at 6,650 rpm to open the air ducts below. This shortened the length of the intake system from 150 mm to 52 mm. This system first appeared on Yamaha with the 2006 YZF-R1. The MV Agusta F4 Tamburini is the first bike with such a system. Massimo Tamburini came up with this idea. It is called the Torque Shift System (TSS) in August.

The Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) is also a new addition. The throttle cable connects to the throttle position sensor and a new computer called the G.E.N.I.C.H. which operates the butterfly valve, the EXUP valve in the exhaust and other components involved, such as the ignition unit, and the YCC-I lift unit. The YCC-T calculates all sensor inputs and calculates the best throttle position, ignition progress, valve EXUP and injection time in milliseconds.
