Yamaha has just released the R15 by adopting the Yamaha R-Series DNA. The outside appearance is far more sporty and its performance is more fierce than the previous generation Yamaha R15. Even this motorbike adopts a new engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology that makes it have more power, but still fuel-efficient. In addition, Upside Down’s front suspension and various advanced features are not available, such as the Suzuki GSX-R150 and the All-New Honda CBR150R.

Yamaha completely overhauled the Yamaha R15, so that this motorbike can beat 150cc sport motorbike in its class. Even the design has changed 100% with a more aggressive design and body curves that look more sporty. In addition, the All-New R15 also adopts a digital-equipped Full HD lamp speedometer which makes it feel more sophisticated. Design and Dimensions

Each side of the All-New R15 looks different compared to its predecessor. This is not separated from the Yamaha R-Series DNA that was adapted to this motorbike. For its own dimensions, the All-New R15 has a length of 1,999 mm, the width of 725 mm, the height of 1,135 mm and overall weight reaches 137 kg. Then for the seat height reached 815 mm and the wheelbase measuring 1,325 mm. Machine Performance

The All-New Yamaha R15 is the most powerful 150cc sport motorbike at the moment. Its performance is able to rival the Suzuki GSX-R150 because the peak power released reaches 14.3 KW or equivalent to 19.3 Horsepower at 10,000 rpm. While the maximum torque penetrates 14.7 Nm at 8,500 rpm. This capability is inseparable from the use of a 155.1cc SOHC engine equipped with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology. VVA technology was first used by Yamaha NMAX 155 and proved to produce very large power, but still fuel-efficient.

Suspension

At the rear is also installed disc brakes that combine with sporty alloy wheels with tires measuring 140 / 70-17. As for the front, the Yamaha All New R15 has 100 / 80-17 tires. Then there is the Delta Box framework that runs on each side of the All-New R15. Unfortunately, Yamaha does not innovate on the exhaust, so it’s a better buddy to replace it with an aftermarket muffler that has a cooler design and more deploying sound compared to the factory default exhaust.

Completeness Feature

As we said above, the All-New Yamaha R15 features Assist & Slipper Clutch. Where the Assist feature will make the All-New R15 clutch operation lighter. While the Slipper Clutch feature will smooth gearshift, so the All-New R15’s acceleration capability is faster. In addition, the Full Digital Speedometer feature is also equipped with a shift timing light feature that is useful for notifying the position of the gear and the speedometer we can set according to taste. There is no doubt about the performance of the All-New Yamaha R15 because it is equipped with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology.
